What she wanna say is that faced is pronounced like other past forms of a word…like you do in talk-talked, bake-baked….instead of saying it like fay-ced…it is pronounced like faced…actually the sound is “like” -t but not “exactly” -t…

when a word ends with -ed it is usually pronounced /t/ so here it is shit-/feist/.

Usually in the past we WON’T pronounce the “E” on the suffix “ED”, and believe me, Brazilian people tend to pronounce this shitty “E”. So when we say FACED as the “E” won’t be pronounced the “T” sound comes naturally.

Some other examples:
WORKED – We won’t pronounce the “E” so the “T” sound comes naturally after the voiceless consonant “K”.
PASSED – We won’t pronounce the “E” so the “T” sound comes naturally as well. (Yeah, PAST and PASSED have similar pronunciation)

I think that the real point is: DON’T pronounce the vowel “E” on the suffix “ED” and the real sound will come naturally.
