I like your lessons very much. I’m studying Present Perfect now. And I hame come across this sentence’ Since I have known her she has always shown good manners.’ Is it correct to use Present Perfect after ‘since’? Should not we use there Past Simple? Thanks. Elena

elena

And about articles. Is it correct to say; I work as a teacher at a girls’ school. ‘ Should we use the article ‘a’ with the word ‘school’ when the teacher tells us about his or her work? And when the teacher says; I go to the school every day.’ Is not it correct? Thanks. Elena

Dear James, I have 2 words which seems to me a total synonyms, as well as my translator saying so. They are ambiguity and equivocal. I have tried to research more about their meaning, but measurably failed. They still both have meaning to me as something has double sense. Would you kindly explain the difference or even better to make a video. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you, Alesia

very useful lesson to me!! thanks~

clairemadame

I got sad. My grade in the task was worse. It might be my own fault. I understood that, if I’m going in between North- East, I should call it North Eastern and not North East as it was in the test. I’ll try to understand again, because right now I didn’t get it at all. Nonetheless, You are a very good teacher, congratulations! I’ve seen at least 10 of your english class so far.

If the level of this lesson is Advanced, I will be able to reach the Native level because it was very easy for me, and I don’t have time to practise every day my Speaking but I can listen many times English lessons and conversations, and of course, my reading and I realised that when you use North, South, West or East as a noun, then they have to use a preposition but if they are used as an adjective, you don’t write the preposition, i.e., at the North of… or Northern point of… Thanks a lot, teacher James Greer from EngVid, this lesson was a review of geographical coordinates.
