St Patrick’s day is arriving. The brazilians also celebrate this date .

asmreis

It’s not a public holiday or a traditional celebration in Brazil.
Some people just throw private parties called St. Patrick’s Day.

    Thanks, Ronnie. Have fun!!

    sergiobrito

Sorry, but I don’t think we Brazilians celebrate St.Patrick’s Day…Not in the way Ronnie says it’s celebrated in some places, at least…

    Janilza

    St Patrick’s day pass

    drea

I agree with Janilza. We do have the lent here in Brazil, but until I finished my English Course, I had never heard anything about St. Patrick’s Day.
    I can’t jugde because I don’t know if only in São Paulo it isn’t a holiday…

    rafaelc.cardozo

I have a question about one word. Is the same “holiday” and “public holiday”. What is the diference between them??

Thank you!!

Lita Nedu

I am not sure, but I think public holiday is a offical state holiday

    Anuar is from Kazakhstan

Do we commemorate? I have never heard about it… Well, people just want to have an excuse to get drunk.

As a matter of fact, in Brazil, we don’t use to celebrate St. Patrick days, except some english schools in order to show the english language culture, but, in my opinion is non-sense celebrate it here, just to have fun. By the way… it was a great lesson!

medinasp

Thank you Ronnie!

Hoowin

Very cool holiday, 9/9 correct. I like so much this beer (Guinness)

Arshad.M

Dear Ronnie. To my surprise I see on the whiteboard behind you ‘hoilday’ instead of holiday. I am not Irish, but I don’t believe that that is the Irish pronunciation of holiday :D Nevertheless, I love your videos

JakobN

If I could I would like to exchange our holiday carnival by the Irish holiday St. Patrick’s Day, so we would lose only one day instead of 5 working days, drinking and doing stupid things …

MarcioLima1993

That’s great!

keliane

it´ld be great to live a St. Patrick´s day!

Manuel8810

I got 100 but pass two questions that I did not remember.

mahanengvid

Which sentence is correct?
1-you should set quitly and respect
Or
2-you should set quitly and respectly

rosemarry

Both sentences are grammatically incorrect: set what? quietly (not quitly), respectfully (not respectly, respect).

“set” is a transitive verb which must be accompanied by a direct object (noun) and always followed by an adverb or preposition.

You should set a cremation urn down quietly and respectfully.

    Lfabian2013

Hello Ronnie, There’s always been a doubt
poppin in my mind, i has nothing to wiht this lesson, but i think that many brazilians have
doubts about it: what is the difference between make/ask questions?

Otavio

KAKAKAKAKAKAKA

why those stupid people drink during the lent! Jesus didnt eat or drink something for 40 days and they even can not stop eating a chocolate ! :(

Abanob2015

Ronnie, you are the best teacher!

cecispacc

in Russia we don’t have a St.Patrick’s day =(

ryroxy

My fellow students at elementary school told me long ago that if a person did not wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, then that person would get pinched by a fellow student at school.

lucyjoy33

To Abanob2015 Immature people who do not like to follow rules are always looking for an excuse to not follow the rules even during Lent.

These people do not realize that the purpose of making a sacrifice is to prove you love religious virtue more than your luxury habit. Therefore it is easy to give up your luxury.

lucyjoy33

I`ve got 100%.

achubak79
