Although, i’m going to watch the video. It’ll improve my current skills and consolidate knowledge.

Rebecca thank you for the lesson but I didn’t understand case 9. I thought it will be “`What did happen”? With hard work, I brought the idea to
fruition.
The correct is to say: “What did it happen?” You need the subject, so What did happen? is incorrect.
Sorry, I made a mistake because as happen isn’t a transitive verb, it cannot take an object.
Hi there.
When we ask about the subject of a setence we don’t need did, do or does:
Sara came. ( Who came?)
A car accident happened . ( What happened?)
She helped the old man. ( Who helped the old man?) The best
Thank a lot

What does the past simple tense of “is/are” mean?
For example, I went to a beach. The coastline was very scenic.
Does “The coastline was very scenic” mean that it is not scenic anymore?
If the coastline still is scenic, is it right to use the past tense?

Hi Rebecca, Thank you so much for the lessons it helps so much. I have a question about #
9. Did you hear the news this morning? What _happen_?
would be my answer based on the video’s instructions. can you explain why it goes to the past tense instead of the base form?
Thank you
assume it is noon time and i am person and i am asking you about news had broadcast in morning. my question would be Did you hear the news this morning? and you also going to say next. what happened? instead of what happen? it is not present simple.

Did you read the book I gave you? My doubt is about “I gave you”, because when I do a question in past all the sentence have to do in past except the verb (in this case read)?. Why we don´t use for example “Did you read the book I give you?”
