Very interesting lesson, thank you Alex.
I am allergic to bees however, I appreciate the job bees do because I love the honey :) When I have the flu, honey & hot tea is awesome. My favorite insect is Ladybugs, they are beautiful insects and the insect I do not like at all, is the cockroach.

Hi Alex, your class was very nice, but there is a technical problem because Spider is not a insect. rsrsrsr! I am an Entomologist.

CREBIO

Hi Crebio! Spiders are not insects, what are they then? Arachnids, aren’t they? Good observation!

However, as far as I can tell, people often use the term “insect” to refer to them; although this is not correct scientific language.

Well,we all make mistakes from time to time, don’t we?

By the way, what does an entomologist do?

    Bye for now.

    Regino

Hi, crebio! Why are you here, what do you want to show? if English is so easy for you, start learn Chinese or biology and let our teacher tranquil, some people need this guy like water, and he must be peaceful and in good shape every time. Good night and good-by for ever peace with you.

      Arthur

Hi Alex, Spider belong the Arachnid Class and they differ from insects because they have eight legs while the insects have only six legs. This is the basic difference. Entomologist like me that work with insects can develop research in biology, ecology, taxonomy, biological control or chemical control.

      CREBIO

So what are they?? If theyre not insects??

    mukti

In common language all terrestrial arthropods are insects or just bugs.

    bencebacsi

nice job..give it up

Rebolt paslein

You know Alex the major difference between Caterpillars, Ladybugs, Mosquitoes, Fireflies, Spiders and Bees, and the cockroaches? No?… you don’t?

…….Well, the Cockroaches are immune to radioactivity and the other bugs don’t. Hihihihihihi, now you know, that’s it!

Hi Alex,

Thank you for this wonderful lesson. You have a clear pronunciation. As a result, everyone can understand you. There is also one thing that I love about your lessons. Your video lessons are not so long. Therefore, we don’t get bored. And by the way, do ladybug and ladybird stand for the same thing?

Regards,
Roya.

Roya Seferova

Yes, they do! “Ladybug” is more common in North America, while “ladybird” is used in the UK and Australia.

    engVid Moderator

      Thanks for the reply, moderator.

      Regards,
      Roya.

Thanks Alex!

sergerh

Thanks to getting 10/10.

Young Kyung Lee

Thank you for the lesson, Alex!

This topic is very interesting, indeed. What do you think about making a video about other animals and plants? In my opinion, it would be awesome!

By the way, I could not help praising your colourful pictures. They are very didactic, even for a class of adults like us. Good job (like you usually say)!

Best regards from Brazil!

Eduardo França

I got 10/10!!!
