When most students start learning English, they find it very hard to talk about time. This lesson will teach you how to use ago and from now, so you can correctly speak about the past and the future.
thanks now it’s clear and improve my marks at least from 50% to 90% hooray:~)
the video gave me some stress when it was private yesterday because i though it was my internet
but james you’re great:~D.
I’m afraid I’ll forget this lesson in ten days from now. What’s a pity¡ should I go to the doctor’s? …. it’s happend to me long time ago..
Thanks for your lesson
I would like to thank James and everyone that helped make this video.
James, you’re a very talented actor ! At least for a good intellectual comedy. ^^ Hihi. It was a superb class because it brought to me more information than I thought it would. Great job and thank you for your time and dedication.
Dear James,
thanks a lot please explain all the future tenses . when and how we use them correctly I’m from Egypt and my basic language is Arabic and I find difficulties to differ between them
Hi James,
can I ask you a question?
Generally, must is used when somebody does something along a rule. I have facts – i.e. a list of school rules – even though I use must. At least, that’s the rule I was taught. Could you make this clear? Thanks. :)
By the way, it might be just a difference between British and American English.
And a request at the end: I wonder if you could make a lesson on only x just because they are sometimes same, sometimes not. Thank you in advance. :)
I had more tabs open. Sorry for misplaced comment.
Hi anri! would u like to make friend with u in order to improve our English. :)
I’m looking forward to receiving ur mail.
My email: loptruong_dethuong_xinhxan@yahoo.com.vn
if it was more the 7 days ago would you say last week?? or if you want to be more Precise would you say ” i did go out bowling last week on Wednesday” or how would you say it.. i love “eng” even more then my own language wish is Danish
As usual, it was a fine lesson, James. But I’ve a doubt. I think that it sounds more correct to say “My birthday will be a few months from now” instead of “My birthday is a few months from now” (this last sentence was considered correct in question eight of the quiz). Anyway, thanks. P.S.: Excuse-me for my languages mistakes.
I was searching an explanation about using present perfect and past simple, so I’ve founded this website. I am very delightful with understanding and watching so kind teacher!
What is the correct answer for question 8? I’m trying to think but without exit ;)
Thanks James! I really enjoyed your lesson. Your scheme is very useful. Congratulations!
Hi, James, hi, all. I have a question about the quiz:
“My birthday is a few months from now”
Is it correct? Why we can use “IS” instead of “WILL BE”, but we talk about future. I’m confused.
I thought, if we use “AGO” we should use “WAS/WERE”, if we use “from now” we should use “WILL”, and finally if we talk about present tense we should use “IS/ARE”
Thank you James :)
It was second lesson with you and my quiz was at 100 %
Your lessons are presented clearly and funny; I know because Iam a teacher but in Poland…
Hi James! I have a doubt…in question number 8, I´m talk about future I shoud say “My birthday will be a few months from now, shoudn´t it? I dont understand why it´s correct to use the verb to be in the present tense.
