gerunds
and how to use them to talk about hobbies in English. Gerunds are verbs that end in -ing
(like reading, cooking, swimming) and they are very common in everyday English. By the end of this class, you’ll be able to use gerunds to talk about your own hobbies and ask others about theirs. This lesson is perfect for beginners and intermediate students who want to build confidence when speaking about their daily activities. After watching, take the quiz to practice.

“Jack is good at….”
The right answer is as “swiming” and not “swimming”.
Why do you say so?
I enjoy learning English by watching dramatic scenes😅
Jack is good at swimming. This is correct.
There are a lot of verbs in English after which we have to use a gerund. Is there only one principle knowing which we can avoid making mistakes — whether we should use an infinitive or a gerund after these verbs. Memorising the entire list of these verbs is a complex task, right?
