Remember
, recall
, and remind
are three words in English that are very similar, so a lot of students mix them up. But each one of these words has a specific meaning. Watch and study this vocabulary lesson so that you won’t forget where each one of these words should be used.

Great ! Thanks !!!
It was a great lesson indeed. And what makes me happy is I got 10 out of 10 before watching the video.
Thank you James.
Hey how can I remember your lesson if I can’t stop laughing while i’m listening to you ! Lol ^^
Could you please clarify with my example ?
If i stick a post-it note on my fridge,
– The post-it note will remind me to do something ?
– Thanks to the post-it note, i’ll remember to do something ?
– I can’t recall where i stuck this damn post-it note and what was written on it ?
Are my sentences all right ?
By the way, it would be so so amazing if you could do a entire lesson in a song, a song lesson ! Oh yeah !
I’m sure I’ve made a mistake in my very first sentence, i should have wrote : How could i REMIND your lesson … ?
I think your first sentence is correct: “How can I remember your lesson?”…By the way, you gave three good examples…In my opinion they are all correct!
Thank you Janilza for giving your opinion :)
Oh, you are welcome! :)
@lucyinthesky: what do you think are you very smart. If you think like that then this is not right place to showing your smartness over here,if you well known with every thing then why you trying to show your talent.
Those three examples are correct, as far as I know. And I think the first sentence you wrote make more sense to me, which is “How can I remember your lesson…..”
really good sentences they are gonna remember me the lesson all the time
awesome lesson as always.

Thanks James for this very useful lesson. I got 10 out 10 correctly. Greetings from Brazil!
So, correct me if i’m wrong. Recall is when someone ask us to remember something. Remind is like something that makes you remember something. that remind me my childhood, for example. To wrap things up:
(I can recall me you can’t recall me, you can just remind me, both makes me remember) is that correct?
You’re basically correct but made few mistakes.
Recall is an intransitive verb, so it cannot carry any subject (I cannot recall anything), but remind is a transitive verb, so it can carry a subject (it reminds ”me” my childhood)
oh yeah, that’s right, recall me doesn’t make any sense, but I can recall a memory right? for example, “I can’t recall the last time I wrote this”. “the last time…” is something that I’m trying to recall but I can’t so I “can” recall something, the problem is that “recall is usually used in negative sentences, So i can’t recall anythings at all. I know it

I know it’s confuse and maybe I’m wrong again, but I guess I did get the picture about how to use this and this is what matters right?

Hi James, i got 7 out of 10, but i am, anywhere excited to learn from professional teachers for free in addition, thank you.
I am not sure if I can ask a question on the quiz here. I chose the answer “reminded” on the question: Everyone in the room __ why they were that night. I thought that everyone reminded somethings because they were in the room. If they weren’t in the room, they didn’t remember it. The room affected their mind to bring they back a memory. Are there some misunderstandings I made? Thank you in advance.
Excellent lesson, professor James, as usual. Thanks a mil!
Oh James I guess who you are calling on the phone.Easy to know.
Hi all dear members, I’ve a question about why we must place ” s ” after the verbs whose subjects are singular, what is its philosophy or story? Because I’ve seen many times in old English stories which all subjects could get a ” S ” after their verbs, of course, a ” th “.
1o/1o
best regards, James (Kazakhstan o2 Dec2o21:)
nice voice!!!!!!!
