For example, you say: expensive and castle. So my brain presents a picture with Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes in “A game of Shadows” and his butler Stanley in Shirburn Castle.
As a German, I associate the word “opulent” with food: ein opulentes Essen – a sumptuous dinner.
