Learn the differences in how to say some common word endings in English. In this pronunciation class, I’ll teach you the correct sounds for words that end with x, ck, and t. Many ESL students get confused with these sounds. Avoid saying a “bad word” when you want to send a fax!

Hello,
HELP!
I currently have several Arabic speakers in a beginning ESL class. One in particular wants to know how to “spell” with a c or k. He wants a rule, especially if the letter is followed by a vowel. Then he wants to know how many c + vowel words there are that make the “k” sound. Here is what I’ve tried so far: explained that at some point he will have to simply memorize the spelling of certain words [cat, cup, cap…]; sat down with him and a dictionary stating at c + a, c + e, etc. Apparently this is not what he is asking for. Regrettably, none of the other Arabic speakers can interpret his question either. I could really use some help. Thank you!

Hey, could you make a class about the difference between the words “to” and “for”? Because we, in Brazil, use the same word for both of them and it’s kind of difficult to understand in the beggining.
luanlsi
People always say – pay attention to the context.
But I’m not going to say that. For us Brazilians
it’s really difficult to figure out those words.
I mean, two or more words in English that have just one meaning in Portuguese, it can be a pain some times.
So, I’d love to have a Brazilian teacher here at EngVid.
I know that it’s not practical to have one teacher for each country, but a man can always dream… :)
Evaldo Mendes
I hear that, man, it’d be really cool!

Hello,
Thank you!
thank teacher

Hey, could you make a class about the difference between the words “to” and “for”? Because we, in Brazil, use the same word for both of them and it’s kind of difficult to understand in the beggining.
I hear that, man, it’d be really cool!
Ty for the free lessons Ronnie!!!
Ronnie :*

Hi Ronnie, You are “rock star” English Teacher.. sooo cool!! Im so happy I found your wonderful and useful classes.. So far I Adore You.. Im having fun at the same time Im learning. You are just what I needed…(like The Cars Song). I m So Frustrated with my English.. studying…studying.. Im NO PROGRESS.. no abble to complete a “normal” sentence” to survive in regular situations… please Keep giving us the examples for each word, so we can quickly understand the meaning in a context phrase.. I so enjoyed the class OLD School.. It was hilarious!!! Thank You very Much for existing and help us to increase our skills.. XOXO
