@Gill:Hi,Gill! I’ve watched dozens of your videos. Your videos are really splendid. I left my comments in “What should I read? My Book Recommendations” and “Shall in English”. I asked you, “Could you recommend me the books written in plain English among contemporary literature in 21st century?” Please read my comments. I would be very happy if you would answer the question for me.

kimurasan

Hi – I’m glad you like my videos. Sorry if I missed your question on YouTube – I’ve just looked but can’t find it. You could try googling “efl easy books”. Also, one author I can recommend (20th century) is Roald Dahl. I hope this is helpful :-)

Thanks Gil! As Kimurasan asks you, I would also be interested in finding intermediate level historical novels to improve my English.

Can i use 2 intensifiers in 1 sentence ?

Sartikasai

Hi – in spoken English you can – it just makes what you’re saying even stronger, for example “This cake is really absolutely delicious!” In writing it’s OK too, if you’re writing dialogue. In more formal writing (for example an essay) it might be seen as bad style. So the context is what makes the difference. I hope this helps :-)
