How to Succeed in Work Meetings (Even if English isn’t your first language!)
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to feel more confident in any meeting, online or in person, when English is not your first language. You will learn to:- Remind yourself that mistakes are okay (“English is not my first language”).
- Ask politely if people understand you (“Excuse me, did that make sense?”).
- Focus on sharing your ideas—you were hired for a reason!
- Ignore distracting people or nervous thoughts and keep going.
- Practice reading your own body language and eye contact by recording yourself.
