most of people
or most people
? Brazilian people
or Brazilians
? Every people
or everybody
? If you’re not 100% sure, this lesson is for you. In this lesson you’ll learn how to talk about people correctly in English. This is an important subject because, in conversation, we often talk about things people do. I’ll teach you the grammar behind common sentences and statements. You’ll learn to use these sentence structures correctly and to avoid mistakes that many English learners make.

Thanks a lot for this lesson!
Hi Victorino, I´m glad to know that some Mexicans are EngVid fans.
What do you think about the following comment?:
Spanish speakers have problems with the word “People” because it is a plural noun in English whereas in Spanish is singular(La gente está/es . . .).
Engaging lesson on common mistakes.
That´s it for now, bye.
Hi Regino.
Of course, for your comment i believe the same but it is English you must learn it.
You and i don’t have to try changing it.
bye.
Hi emma i wanna tell you’re very good teaching. Every day i learn a lot with your videos .thanks for this lesson,

Hello Emma you made a mistake at the beginning with bazilian isn’t it?By the way “isn’t it”is correct in this question?
For some reason I was so happy watching she mentioning Brazil… until I realized that she wrote “Brazilian” wrong. :/
But anyway, she is a great teacher and I really enjoy her classes.
So, the correct form is Brazillian?
The correct form is Brazilian. With one “l”
The correct is “Brazilian”, she wrote “Brazillian” with 2 “ll”. It was just a little mistake.
Hello we can make agroup on a face book to talking
Hey HI! ;) could you give me your skype, please?
my skype: Hillgps
Yes, we must write ” Brazillian”
good morning , Teacher it is fantastic experience leaning small grammar corrections .
Thank you !
“All people” sounds really strange for me :S
By the way, how do you spell it, Brazilians or Brazillians??
Thanks Emma for this useful lesson ;)
A priori, it seemed easy but I have to think to pass the quiz .
Thank you Emma for this useful lesson.
Sorry, the first comment was for Emma. But if I understood well what she said, you should write : All people SOUND without S. Am I right ??
I think you’re wrong, as I wrote “all people” as the subject of an expression. I just changed “all people” into “it”: “It sounds really strange for me”
I can be wrong, of course :)
OK my friend ! It’s clear for me now. Thanks a lot.
The correct way is Brazilian, but nobody is perfect right? hehe. Anyway, that was a great lesson, thanks Emma!
i think, it is normally because people is the plural noun so of couse, all and people go together. it is right, isn’t it?
Thank you Emma for your excellent lessons just one thing “Brazilian” takes one “L”?

Great Lecture as well as great educationalist that’s bring changes to students motivation to use of different technic this is the way of teaching where both parties are getting to improve like me i got 9 correct out of 10.
Dear Emma would you like to explain more about last two sentence.
People likes my cooking
every body likes my cooking I did not inject properly because likes and like ( s ) make me confuse.
I am looking forward to seeing you very soon.
We use verbs with a letter ‘s’ with a following nouns: no one, anyone, everyone, one, nothing, anything, everything, nobody, anybody, everybody.
The word ‘people’ means a personS in general. We use verb without ‘s’ because we talk about some persons not one.
People likes my cooking ( this word “People” have meaning more than 1 so that why no need to put “s” in Verb after peaople
everybody likes my cooking ( This word “Everybody” every mean 1 person or single person like everyone so everybody might she/he that why put “s” in every Verb after everybody/everyone ( Everyone likes singing/everybody likes cooking/everybody works…/everybody runs… ) etc.
Thank you teacher Emma,I have got 10.Very good lesson and very important,I am looking forward to seeing more videos about grammar mistakes.

Thanks Emma for this useful information…from now I´ll put special atention in this details to avoid this mistakes in my e-mails and letters. everyday I see your videos and I am learning a lot of English with them. Congratulations for this excelent job….nice weekend¡¡
I’d add extra information on nationalities. There are some cases when you can use people (e.g. English people, Chinise people, Japanise people). Surely the more native way to say it is “The English”, “The Chinise”, “The Japanise”. No “s” at the ends. :)
So I shouldn’t say Chinese people or Japanese people. I used to think they are common expressions…Thanks for your lesson!
Hello Emma
Can you explain me one weird case. What with expression Polish people ? Is it also incorrect ? Should I write Polishes ?
Alternatively Poles ?
In my opinion, I’d rather use Polish People than polishes. It is because Polish stands for singular of a group of Poland. Besides, polishes means a verb to make a nail smooth and shinning. I don’t know if there is further explanation from EngVid teacher.
Thank you so much :D
Thank you emma for the lesson. I was wrong about writing “most of.people”.

I got perfect score on this! ???
Hi! I don’t understand question 7. The correct answer is “Everyone should have clean drinking water.”, but we use everyone with singular verbs, isn’t it? Or is it an exception because of “should”?
We use verbs with a letter ‘s’ with a following nouns: no one, anyone, everyone, one, nothing, anything, everything, nobody, anybody, everybody.
The word ‘people’ means a personS in general. We use verb without ‘s’ because we talk about some persons not one.
Moreover, We use infinitive after modal verbs (can, should, must etc. Modal verbs are the same for all persons.
Thanks, so I thought well
(I meant singular verb = verb with s)
I have made a mistake. The word ‘persons’ does not exist. ‘Person’ is a singular form of the word ‘people’. My English is still improving. Sorry for confusion.
Hello Emma..The word ”Brazillian” should not be written with an only one ”L” ?

hi! I am confused with the use of ¨some¨ and ¨many¨ in the first example..

Dear Emma, thanks your valuable classes for me, but i thought it why Ms Emma not opened up the real clause or rule for, of, some, all, everybody etc…removed ‘s’ in the sentences or words.
More convenient and useful to learn and make more sentence by people….
it is defined by plural and singular subject that’s why these changes.
Ms Emma, i not watched or read your classes. So i said anything if went wrong…sorry sorry.
Thaks
