English Pronunciation Practice: V & W
Do you know how to pronounceV & W correctly in English? I’ve noticed that some people pronounce them both the same way, but in fact they are very different! In this lesson, I’ll demonstrate how to shape your mouth in order to pronounce each of these consonants correctly. Then we’ll look at some example words containing each one — you can repeat them after me. Finally, we’ll practice with sentences where you have to switch between V & W multiple times.

In the Persian language, we don’t have the sound ‘W’ so for me it’s always challenging to pronounce W correctly! I wish I could master it!
To be honest, I can pronounce W, but it is sophisticated, not natural!
However, thanks a lot and I have a bigger request. It’s about the letter R and how it is pronounced in different places of a sentence.
I watched Emma’s lesson on that, but I am still not satisfied!

Dear Gill. Thank you for your lesson. It reminds me my favourite movie My Fair Lady – when A. Hepburn was studied how to speak correctly: “The rain in Spain”, “How kind of you …”, “In Hartford, Hereford and Hampshire …” I felt like in there :o)
