When to capitalize names in English. Is that sentence proper? Why did you write ‘to capitalize’ after ‘when’?
Thanks.

I.Gamze

Thanks Madam, Its helps for me.

sarwar511

It’s helpful for me,too.Thanks a lot!

SophiaHsieh

greetings. so we do capitalize the names of mountains, streets, but not the words: streets or mountains themselves, right? and in the Example with ” aunt” . in the first exm. we didn’t capitalize the word- aunt- while we did that with the second second? why?it seems a little tricky, isn’t it? in my opinion, I wouldn’t capitalize it in the first case, neither in the second one, because the main name here is Sally, and aunt already refers to her:))))

Amer_70

Dear Rebecca,
Since last year, I have “capitalised” or accumulated a number of your lessons. I improve myself. Thank you.
Best regards.

Peter

Sorry, but I can’t see the difference between “my aunt Sally’s house” and “tell Aunt Sally that…” For me it’s like I would say “the Atlantic ocean’s waves are very high”.

I watched the video twice on September 20, 2021, and took the quiz after watching it once. I got six correct out of 7.

ergn

A very necessary lesson to hear and learn I think by learning quite well this lesson and remembering it by heart we will know that if the name is specific writing in Capital the first letter is necessary, but in general name it is not necessary to capitalize the first letter of the names,it doesn’t,t matter to be a person,s name or a street etc…

Mohammad mostaan

I got 7/7.

Thank you!

lprnl

you are a great teacher ever. I appreciate you.
