:) Wohoo! Got full. I’m feeling mind blowing rebecca after watching this video. You delivered that necessary knowledge which made me feel so efficient :) I am proud and blessed to have a teacher or a friend like you. I can’t thank you enough. Keep teaching and make me more smarter like you. :) <3

Thank you very much, Jasmine. I am so glad you found the lesson helpful. Here’s another small tip for you: remember that we just say “smarter” and not “more smarter”. We do this with almost all adjectives that are made up of one syllable, such as cold and colder, big and bigger, and smart and smarter. All the best to you!

Hi, Jasmine. In addition I dare to give you one advice. Don forget to capitalize names. For example Rebecca. Nice to have met your here. Bye.

Thank you, very interesting tests!

I agree ….this lesson and this teacher are great .

wonderful class

thank you rebecca, your smile makes the lesson so flexable, and easier to understand

Good to hear you, Rebecca!
In French, it seems to me that they are the same rules; So if I had the pleasure of listening to you, the quiz didn’t seem difficult.
Thank you.

Thanks for sharing and my best wishes o you, beernaard.

Thanks a lot, Rebecca! You are a great teacher! Everything is clear. So my result is 100!It’s your merit!

Great website for learning English.

Hello Rebecca. It is a pleasure to watch all your lessons. I always learn something new. I’m from Chile. The capitalization in Spanish is very similar to the one in English. Except, that we don’t capitalize adjectives like spanish, canadian, the days of the week, the months of the year, when they are in the middle of the sentece. For example: La niña colombiana nació un día martes en enero. The Colombian girl was born on Tuesday in January. Thanks for your excellent teaching. Best Regards

Thank you kindly, Isabelita. It is always a pleasure to hear from a fellow teacher. Thanks for sharing this interesting information about Spanish. All the best to you and thank you for watching engVid!

By the way, what languages don’t use capital letters?

A long list of such languages, including Hindi, Gujarati, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, and many more.

Are you from Mexico Rebecca? You look like a Mexican.

Thanks a lot! I still confused about articles before capitalazed names. We do not use them with person’s names and surnames, but do use here “The Toronto Public Library”, “The University of Oxford”. Went to figure it out.

Actually, Toronto Public Library is the correct name, without the article “the”. The same goes for the University of Oxford. The article “the” is not part of the name, in those cases, so it is not capitalized. You might have seen the word “the”
capitalized if it was the first word in the sentence. Hope that helps. All the best!

Wow!!! 10 out of 10
Thank you Rebecca, for your very good explanation! ;-)

And you are so adorable in your video at min. 13:10 -> “… Are you with me?…Good!…”

It’s one of the most important grammar topics that I need to improve my English writing. Ofen I doubt how to capitalize, in the right way, the titles of the movies or the books. Thanks for this lesson, Rebecca.

Pablo Apy

Thanks! I passed with a hundred percent.
The most challenging capitalization are the words: south, uncle, father, north, southern, and northern.

In German we capitalize all the substantives.
