Quiz#2.(What does it mean if Jon says “it’s on me”?) – why is the right answer “Jon wants YOU to pay”? If Jon said “It’s on me”, then HE’s paying. Am I right?

Andrey

Yeah, it is a very useful lesson))!!!I like the word intoxicated – no guilt in the morning:I was just intoxicated ;-)

libelle

This lesson was great! Thanks, James! But I have a doubt about the second question.
If Jon says ” it’ s on me”, means that he is paying, right? I checked this but I got wrong! The correct answer showed was ” Jon wants you to pay”.
Could you help me, please?

Tvantinha

So did I. I checked “Jon is paying”, but I got wrong. Jon said “it’s on me”, so Jon want *he pays*. Doesn’t he?
Thank you in advance. Great Team, great site!

    gianpieropiccolo

    This has been fixed now.

    engVid

If a person says: “It’s on me”, it means that this person is going to pay your bill. You can drink and he/ she is going to be responsible for the bill at the end of the night!!! U can drink was much as you can, hahaha…

    teachermls

This is one of the best tutorials here :)
Can you please make a tutorial in how to pronounce big numbers, I mean you pronounce 1200 twelve hundred! it’s really hard to understand!
Thank you!

Elshereef

OMG it´s a good idea! i have the same problem sometimes i dont know how to say big numbers!

    Regards!

    YooksRuiz

If Jon says “it’s on me” then to whom he representing, to him or to me. If to him then the answer is Jon is paying but here it tells a different

salila

There is somthing wrong with the second question

medirock

HAHAHA I like how first comments are dominated by my brothers Slavians. Cheers everyone! :P

I can’t drink any alcohol now but I remind my worker life. I drunk beer once in a blue moon though…haha
I had fun! Thank you James and Mr. E :D

Happy04

Thank you, James. I really enjoyed this video.
But I’m kind of confused by the following from the test:

2. What does it mean if Jon says “it’s on me”?
Jon is paying.
Jon wants you to pay.(the correct answer)
Jon wants to leave the bar without paying.

P.S. Isn’t Jon the one who’s going to pay for the drinks?

tomkuo

Thanks for letting me know! I’m fixing it right away.

    engVid Moderator

Thanks James for useful lesson.

It seems there is a bug (I’m a programmer :) ) in second question “What does it mean if Jon says “it’s on me”?”, shouldn’t the correct answer be “Jon is paying.”.

vgrigory

Yea true. They make a mistake there. But the lesson is awesome :)

    babylima

I never have been there.

littledarling

Number 2 seems to be incorrect!

PIrina

There is an error in question number two. If I good understand “it’s on me” equals “I’m going to pay for drinks”. So the correct answer should be “Jon is paying” Am I right?

Paul J.
