Mind the “letter” how it’s written, don’t make mistake Jon!

Wednesday, March 7th 2012Reply to this comment

i don’t know if I’m right also but what i understand is that the word “latter” refers to the line (sword and sward, retain and Britain). Oh sir Jon help us,,, we understand it differently.

Thursday, March 8th 2012Reply to this comment

Well Totong, I still think that I’m right. We’ll wait for Jon to reply if he wants, but I don’t see logic if the word “latter” is right. It’s about pronunciation, but also about spelling. . .

Its only what i understood his lesson,,,, but it seem that sir Jon didn’t answer us…. sir Jon,,, Hello are you there?

Sunday, March 25th 2012Reply to this comment

Why do you think that “latter” is a mistake? Search for “The Chaos” by G. Nolst Trenité ;)

Could you like teacher a lesson on HANG expressions? e.g HANG ON, HANG UP, HANG OUT, HANG AROUND e.t.c

Wednesday, March 7th 2012Reply to this comment

I’ll tell you here immediately. HANG ON means to wait and to listen carefully. HANG UP has more than one meaning, but one of them is to interrupt line on the phone or to end up the phone call. HANG OUT means to go out with smb. HANG AROUND means to walk around. . .

Hi Jon
Thanks for this video class, it´s very interesting to listen to this kind of advanced vocabulary. I´d like to have an explination of the words in a next video like this, as you know if we don´t understand we don´t learn.

Best regards

Hi Lesya!!! your dictionary uses British pronunciation but sir Jon used american English accent but either of the two is correct.

Jon…I enjoy ur lesson. I said in the first block of the poem to pronounce further bolcks of this very long poem with very difficult words. There are more blocks. Can u read all of them? Thanks a lot for ur great lesson. Sometimes I really don’t know how to pronounce some words, as you said before, there are no consistance im vowels and consonants as there are in spanish or portuguese. For instances: tear and tear. I’m sorry to other you. Bye
