Meet me tomorrow at 12:00pm.
Okay, I'll meet you at ________.
The last bus is at 12:00am.
Okay, I'll be at the bus station before __________.
a quarter past one.
half past three
a quarter to five
If Kanada is full of lady like you I would move to Kanada.
Hi.Valen ,the way u teach is great.I liked it.
the way you teach is very good. I like very much. Thank you for your teaching,Valen.
Now I´m sure everyone can tell the time without making mistakes.
My watch keeps perfect time, so it´s time to go to bed.
Bye for now.
And since when 12 am stands for midnight and 12 pm stands for noon !! it’s quite the opposite and nobody seems to notice it !So please do your research before posting
It seems that Valen didn’t make a mistake at this point: 12am = midnight and 12pm = noon.
i find this mistake.
Hello Madam Valen, i don’t know why i can’t leave a comment..I watched your video many times, take the quiz, but i have one question: how can i say: 23: 15? forty five to twelve or fifteen to twenty-three? it’s very confusing, can anyone could help me? Thanks.
45 to 12 is very complicated. Remember it’s easier to say how many minutes is left TO the next hour when you have less than 30 minutes.
If you have more than 30 minutes, do not use “TO”, you’d better say “twenty-three-fifteen” or “a quarter past eleven pm”
By the way, when it’s 12 am, use “midnight” instead of “twelve” and when it’s 12pm you can use “noon”.
a quarter after 11 ..or.. forty five to 12 pm
It’s Canada. *roll eyes*
Me too! :p
yes why not
thank you for your teaching.
the way you teach is very good
She is American :)
Omg UR NAME IS DOG MAN DOES THAT MEAN U LIKE DOGS? I LOVE DOGS AND WOLVES! :)
Canada not kanada
it’s Canada not Kanada
Hi.Valen ,the way u teach is great.I liked it.
the way you teach is very good. I like very much. Thank you for your teaching,Valen.
the comment which you gave is very nice
Learning is fun with a beautiful teacher.thank you.
Got it! Good timing.
i love to learn more with her…
It was very entertaining and useful your lesson and I want to give you my thanks.
Now one little detail, when you were in the explication about “a quarter to six”, your clock in the backboard had “a quarter to seven”. And finally, one request, I would like if you could speak a little bit more slowly, because sometimes I can’t understand that your explication.
Take it easy Raul! You are right. The drawing was not consistent with her explanation, but it was quite clear what she meant.
Hi Raul, Valen’s explanation was beautiful just as she is, if she speaks slowly you’ll never get the listening skill, try to watch the video again and again, and you’ll get both the lesson learned and the listening skill.
Don’t worry, after a while you’ll be looking for faster and difficult pronunciations.
Take care, bye bye
It is realy very difficult for me that how i thank to you because it is so easy to understand that i got it in very easiest way that you have in your teaching skills. I love to learn more with you.

Thank you valen.you have been a good mannar for teaching
Thanks for good lesson & nice easy teach style
How would you say 5:15?
fifteen after five
a quarter after five
forty-five to six…This is my answer and it’s wrong
but anyway Thank you so much for this lesson Ma’am Valen.. I never heard this lesson from my teachers and even from my prof. I only knew about quarter. I’m going to use half past from now on hehehe. By the way what does first in the morning means or what time is it? I heard it from HR department when they conduct an interview for applicants.
Thank You and God Bless
nice thanks you are nice style and teacher
I was taught at school to say 5:30- five and a half. Is it possible?
i like it ;)
sorry mam! but in dis lesson u taught wrong. its a quater to 7 not quater to 6..
Thank you for the lesson Valen, you’re beautiful!
thanks valen! I am going to ask something from you! do you have skype?
anyone could answer my question! what is “quarter?” .. it is very confusing word. help me please
“Quarter” means “one-fourth” (1/4). One-fourth of an hour is 15 minutes, so, for example, “quarter after” means 15 minutes after.
Thanks Valen! your time expression lesson is best.
Thank you Valen :)
helpful lesson and great teacher :)
Hi, Valen. Thank you! I believe there’s something very wrong at 4:58. You draw a clock showing a quarter to SEVEN but you say and write it “a quarter to six”. Why is that so? I think you need to fix that. Have a good day!
D thank you …………………………….
