Dear Emma, thank you for your wise advice in this lesson. Once upon a time, German people only had to avoid three things in so-called small talk: politics, religion and family. That is not a fairy tale. No educated person used to talk about salary, bed stories or gossip. Nowadays, I think we have forgotten these useful rules and people are often fighting against each other from streets to parliaments.
