TI understand your logic, Anne, but this form is not used by itself. We cannot say “I’m” by itself.
We need to say “I am” or, if it’s negative, “I’m not”.

We use contractions in formal and informal speaking.
We can also use contractions in informal writing.
However, we should avoid contractions in formal business writing or academic writing.

That’s a good question! In case a teacher doesn’t explain, it is correct. There are a few other ways you could say it, and they can mean slightly different things.

“Will you be going” and “are you going” are pretty much the same.

“Will you go” can mean the same thing, but it can also be a request – another way to say “Please go”. For example, “Svetlana really wants a lot of people to come to her party. Will you go?” (“Would you go” is similar, but more polite, not as strong.)
