What a great student you are! How wonderful! In this video, I will teach you about “how” and “what” exclamations such as “How exciting!” “What a cute couple!” Exclamations are very important in conversational English, and will help you to sound more natural in your English. Watch this video to find out more. What a great idea!
Emma you are amazing teacher i love the way you teaching me,also i like the topics you talking about, i wish you success in your future endeavors. Thanks :)

Good lesson! Exclamations are not often taught in language classes as such; you learn them as they come up. Although they are important in everyday conversation.
Emma, your examples always make learning more meaningful. I like your teaching style!!!
Have a great weekend!!!

Hope this may help.
Regino
I think your comment is right how wonderful!
steven
Hello, Regino.
You can use ‘how’ only with adjectives. If you want to form a ‘how’ exclamation sentence, you need only an adjective, or how + adj + subject + verb! How difficult! or How difficult it is! would be right to use. When it comes to “what”, then what + a/an + adj + noun! would be right.
Kind Regards,
Roya.

Dear Miss, I am studying english pedagogy at university and my doubt is the following: How can I use the verb to be in nouns such as Team, Group, Police, or all the nouns related to that classification? I saw in an oxford dictionary this sentence as an example: The team “were” playing very well, is this sentence correct with were instead of was?
Wintry moon
Hi Wintry, the use of WERE in your example is correct because “team” is seen as a group of people, say, soccer players.
However, you can also say . . . the team is playing well this season.
So,TEAM can be used with both singular or plural verb.
Hope this may help Wintry.

How interesting! Very good for how I have to use How and What for exclamation in english.
Autana
i dont understand because first one, you say that ” what big eyes you have”(there isnt “a” or “an” )why? and other for exmpl: you said ” what a big trunk” (that’s a big trunk) why didnt you use verb there (forexmple: is) .
thanks for video))
Tahirzade
Hi, Tahirzade
The teacher said “What big eyes you have”. She used “eye” in plural form. And when we use plural noun that follows an adjective, then we don’t need to write a/an before that. We could use indefinite article when we don’t use the noun in plural. So, we need an article here: “What an interesting story it was!”, because story is in singular form. And let’s come to the usage of the verb in the exclamation sentence. We can and at the same time we cannot use the subject and verb after these type of sentences. I mean it’s up to us.
Regards,
Roya.
Roya Seferova
Hi, Roya Seferova

Hope this may help.
I think your comment is right how wonderful!

Hi Wintry, the use of WERE in your example is correct because “team” is seen as a group of people, say, soccer players.
However, you can also say . . . the team is playing well this season.
So,TEAM can be used with both singular or plural verb.
Hope this may help Wintry.
Regards

Number 10 was my mistake. what an embarrassing mistake!
thanks Emma
How interesting! Very good for how I have to use How and What for exclamation in english.
i dont understand because first one, you say that ” what big eyes you have”(there isnt “a” or “an” )why? and other for exmpl: you said ” what a big trunk” (that’s a big trunk) why didnt you use verb there (forexmple: is) .
thanks for video))
Hi, Tahirzade
The teacher said “What big eyes you have”. She used “eye” in plural form. And when we use plural noun that follows an adjective, then we don’t need to write a/an before that. We could use indefinite article when we don’t use the noun in plural. So, we need an article here: “What an interesting story it was!”, because story is in singular form. And let’s come to the usage of the verb in the exclamation sentence. We can and at the same time we cannot use the subject and verb after these type of sentences. I mean it’s up to us.
Regards,
Roya.
Hi, Roya Seferova
yea, now i understand :-) i agree with u
thanks for attention)
are u graduate of Qafqaz? or not
Hello, Tahirzade.
