These exam question is greatly helpful. Thanks

Kyonika

“These exam questions”. Note that you have to pluralize the noun when using pronoun “these”.

    vladandevla

      You’re right.

      Anwarlawyer

        I’m above.

        vladandevla

          And under.

          vladandevla

          Sometimes left.

          vladandevla

          But always right.

          vladandevla

You didn’t have to be rude. Anwar was trying to be nice. “You can be right, dead right, but you will be just as dead as if you were wrong” Dale Carnegie.

          Danddan

Why do you find my comments rude? I was just kidding, it’s obvious. Very few people have a sense of humor here, unfortunately.

          vladandevla

Nice ! Having the sense of humor is Very good . Ggod luck

Hatari

Thanks for your helpful lesson. I made a mistake on the No.5 test. I have some questions. The meaning of ‘it is an honor’and ‘it is a pleasure’ is the same, right? Is it correct that the former is more formal than the latter? I look forward to taking your next lesson!

fukukiyo

Both are formal, and the meaning is almost the same, however, there’s a very slight difference between them, and in my opinion, you can use them interchangeably.

    vladandevla

      Hi,vladandevla
Thank you for your useful comment and I’m sorry for the delay in my reply. I was on a trip to Sydney for a while. I’m really happy to take not only engVid teacher’s lessons but also people who watch this video help me.

Thanks for your lesson, Rebecca. I am looking forward to watching next. Yours sinserely.

proverbial horse

Sincerely yours or sincerely yours ?

    Soei

      or yours sincerely ?

      Soei

“Yours sincerely” would be correct. There seem to be a permutation in the quiz.

        vladandevla

And there seems to be something wrong with my reply as well. What I wanted to write was “There seems to be a permutation in the quiz”. Lesson: Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

          vladandevla

I did some research on this, and unfortunately have to correct myself for the third time. It looks like “Sincerely yours” is the American way of saying “Yours sincerely”. So, there’s nothing wrong with the quiz, my mistake.

          vladandevla

Thanks a lot for your help.

          Soei

That’s what my question, too. Sincerely yours,

Hey, teacher Rebecca! About #6, may I use the gerund and write “It was a pleasure meeting you!”? Thanks :D

Emanoel Pereira

Yes, you may, and in that case you are referring to a period of time in the past. You recall the pleasure you felt at that point of time in the past, over the duration of the meeting that occured between you and someone else.

    vladandevla

I am much obliged to you for replying me. Take care.

Thanks for your lesson, Rebecca I am looking forward to learning your lesson on engvid.com It is a happiness to learn from you.

Ukrit

First of all , a lot of thanks to u Mom for the inevitable information . let me come to the point, here i have got a doubt which is not related to this topic.Even then, I hope the doubt i have will be revealed by you. the doubt is like this -” what are the things we want follow while learning English ?” how can we change the question mentioned above from interrogative sentences to assertive sentence. I think whether it can be changed as this – They get to know what the things are we want follow while learning English or They get to know what the things we want follow while learning English are . Mom please define which of these is the right one and elaborate why it is so. Hope you will correct it. Mom ,I have asked many but no one has given me the answer. Mom please consider this as important.

niyas143

Be sure to use the appropriate punctuation marks to help me help you. The fact is your sentence doesn’t make any sense.

    vladandevla

I’m going to write this only here and only once. Hopefully the teachers or moderators from EngVid will see it. I’m an advanced English learner, and I am completely aware of the fact I don’t know everything. Teachers from this site are here to explain what I can’t, and to correct me whenever I make a mistake. I’d be glad if they did so, because all I want is to improve my English language skills, and by replying to each comment, it will happen for sure. I feel really good when clarifying something to someone – it gives me the necessary self-confidence. Thank you for your understanding.

      vladandevla

Thanks for your thoughtful comments! The more you practice writing, the better you’ll get. And being able to explain complicated things in a simple way is an incredibly useful skill.

        Have a cat gif~

        engVid Moderator

Agreed. That’s exactly what teachers do here, and I’ll do my best to catch up with you. Thanks for the cat gif buddy, now I have the teacher to practise my reflexes with too, haha ;)

          vladandevla

thanks for your help

Hello Rebecca,
First of all thanks! I am new to this forum but used to listen your videos and Emma videos both on you tube!
Most of the time i get confuse while using in or on, In this lesson you described about how to find the mistakes.
Which one is correct: I am interested in your products or I am interested on your products ? On your prepositions session you told whatever is related to PAPER we can use IN and whatever is related to ELECTRONIC we can use ON.
Question : How do we define products in which criteria ? Because i prefer to use ON instead of IN. Please correct me if am wrong.
