    You can say “It sounds so fascinating” or “It sounded so fascinating.” It depends if you wanted to speak in the present (in general) or in the past.

    The same thing you need to learn any language or any skill: consistent effort, practice, and motivation. :) There is no magical formula. My recommendation is to learn vocabulary and pronunciation first, practice some basic set phrases, and then start studying the grammar.
