Thank you very much. You are a great teacher and so beautiful too.And this website is really wonderful and we are in need for such websites. We are waiting for more interesting and important lessons.
And i have a questions: Why didn’t you say ” A savvy computer”? is it because “savvy” is an adjective without a noun?i’m waiting to the answer.

Friday, October 16th 2009Reply to this comment

Yes akram, you are right. The expression “computer-savvy” is an adjective so we don’t use A.

Monday, November 16th 2009Reply to this comment

thank you so much teacher, my english is not good so I cant hear clearly what you sad, can you speak slowly please! Thanks teacher!

Thursday, October 22nd 2009Reply to this comment

i agree with you but i want something like lyrics or like we see in the films in the bottom of the screen the english words that help us to know what they say

Monday, October 26th 2009Reply to this comment

it’s my first comment in your wonderful site but i want to suggest new idea for ur website and ur videos
and if you do it
belive me the people who watch ur lectures will be increasing more and more and more
i suggest for all the teachers in this website to make an english text contains ur english talking cause more of us can’t hear you clearly i mean text like lyrics and accompany your videos as we see in films translation in the bottom of the screen
i’m really need it and i think that every one sign in ur site need it and can’t hear u clearly

Monday, October 26th 2009Reply to this comment

    I read your opinion. but…
I don’t think so. (just opinion)
I think hearing is more important to students than reading.
If we can read, not listen to, what teachers say, we may not try to listen to teacher.
and then, we can’t make our hearing ability more powerful.
so I think it is better to let it be.
    how do you think ?

Friday, October 30th 2009Reply to this comment

I also strongly disagree with this proposal. If you can’t hear clearly you should hear this video again and again.

Friday, May 14th 2010Reply to this comment

i had posted a comment from a short time but i don’t find it now :(
generally i only suggested to accompany ur videos in the engvid site with english texts like we see in the bottom of the film’s tv screen cause i and i think that more of us can’t hear you clearly
the reason of that not from u but because more of us weak in the english language and log in ur site to improve it

Tuesday, September 14th 2010Reply to this comment

this is exactly what I wanted to learn to improve my spoken english , I have an advanced english level , but I have no clues about these expressions , if i hear a native saying something like these , I won’t undrestand and I will have a lack of confidense in myself , so learning these expressions will improve my spoken english , I mean slang , and they will make me more confident.I live in USA more than 7 years , I have no clues about theses expressions and I am studying international business. All I have to say , this is great method , it is recommended to undrestand not the language but the culture too, so thank you so much , and your effort will be rewarding.

Hi. To tell the truth, I really appreciate your work on this “Common expression in the workplace” series. Thank you so much!

I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind, and I hope you will help me to figure everything out:) I wonder why the future tense is used in the following if-clause:

“If our competitors won’t comply we are goind to have to play hardball”

Is it an expression of kind of uncertainty and that’s why we put “won’t” instead of “don’t”?

The other question is why are we using present continuous? I’m quite unfamiliar with such grammar construction; would you be so kind to explain or give some grammar link? Thank you beforehand!

Tuesday, April 12th 2011Reply to this comment

I agree with you, Romars. I’d like to ask Valen if in this case “won’t comply” refers to “refuse” rather than the the future tense itself. Valen can you shed light on this?

Hi Valen! Thanks for your lessons, but please do not erase so quickly all from the board. This does not help us at all to learn English.
Thanks for understanding:) All the best!

Thx a lot Valen, I really appreaciate your lesson. I left a comment to Romar’s one of April 12th. Please see it.
