Everything is fine, but the question is, what happend with the adjective NEW, Why is… newest, and not… newwest…. CAN YOU TELL THAT?. Tanks.

You are right, it is newest and not newwest. An exception to the rule!

I think this is because of pronunciation: ‘new’ is formally CVC, but pronounced like “nju” … and there is no need to add another “w” here to emphasize the last consonant.

We teach North American English, though… what will you do if you come to North America. The clothes the teacher is wearing are completely normal here and nobody would find them to be out of the ordinary. Just try to keep an open mind.
