Problem in TOEFL iBT testing computers

  1. I have read on a site about that sometime TOEFL computer does not work correct doing taking of the exam. Too much people are taking exam at same time, so the master computer of TOEFL in USA is shut down and not working any more. Is it true? What will you do if it happen to you when you taking the test?

  2. Robot... it is true. It hapened to me when I was taking TOEFL IBT last year in Madrid. We had to wait more then two hours for ETS (company of TOEFL) to fix their problem with computers. By this time, I was already tired and hot, so my IBT score was not as high as could have been. ETS did not help or say sorry even.

    Yes, it can happen. One of my students in Toronto told me there were problems with the computers too, but it was to his advantage because he gained some time!
