Many expressions in English involve cats. In this lesson, I let the cat out of the bag, so you never have to feel lost if someone uses one of these idioms in conversation. Idioms covered in the lesson are: fat cat, cat’s got your tongue, copy cat, cat nap, cat’s out of the bag, raining cats and dogs.
I believe the keys to success are passion, discipline, and an open mind. I try to keep these things in mind when teaching English, as well as in my eternal quest for knowledge. While there will always be bumps along the way, it is how we deal with challenges that define us as people.
I am currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but I was an immigrant at the age of 6. Being familiar with the challenges that new immigrants and language learners face has fueled my desire to make it easier for those looking to learn the English language. I have been immersed in the world of ESL for over a year now, and it has been extremely rewarding. From one-on-one tutoring, to classroom teaching, and even to teaching foreign speakers over the Internet, I have had a wide range of experiences that have exposed me to the joys of teaching. There are few things more satisfying than seeing someone succeed, especially when you have played a role in that success.
When I'm not teaching, I love to read, play guitar, be creative, watch movies, listen to music, and watch hockey, as well as football/soccer.

Good luck, and never stop trying!
